How do you envision the habitation of the Lord? You will find the vision within your own heart, and that it is based upon what ever images of God's word you are carrying. Revealed Praise is about making it personal. What do you think the habitation of God looks like, and also, very importantly, upon which scriptures do you base your vision? We get a glimpse in the previous scripture. The Psalmist makes reference to a journey he is making. What does he say is the ultimate destination which he is pursuing? Where is he trying to get to? He says in verse four that the ultimate destination he is pursuing is beyond the Holy Hill, to the dwellings place of God.  He's crying out to be led to the very altar of God, that he might worship there, in His presence. In verse three, what does the passage say the Lord is providing to the Psalmist to lead him beyond the Holy Hill, to the dwelling places and altar of God? It says the light and the truth will lead him.

"Then" is an extremely important word in verse four.  Verse three tells us that the light of God and the truth of God will lead the Psalmist into the dwelling places of God. "Then", verse four says, "I will go to the altar of God."…...To the ALTAR of God.  The worship journey is progressing deeper still to the altar of God, but the verse of scripture says it will happen "Then"...  Then, when? "Then", when…. will the Psalmist arrive at the altar of God? Ahhh, when the light and the truth lead him, we are told.

How do the light and the truth of God lead us into revelation and ultimately, through our praise journey, to the altar of the Lord? We look more deeply into that in our next part of this series.
